Dripping Springs Water History
Dripping Springs WSC began with its first water well in 1964. It has added three new wells since then, and the four wells can produce up
to 1.5 million gallons
per day. With the extension of a pipeline by the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), Dripping Springs Water contracted to purchase up to 1 million gallons a day of lake water. Dripping Springs Water has received a “superior” rating from the
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
In times of peak demand -- usually in the summer -- Dripping Springs treats and combines its well water and surface water to make sure that its members can count on safe, reliable water service.
